Inspired by the excess of crowdfunded “boobie comics,” the emotional vulnerability of Katawa Shoujo, the surreal framing of The Tatami Galaxy, and Rumiko Takahashi’s talent for using sexuality, embarrassment, and social pressure as engines for conflict, the comic treats sex as both spectacle and storytelling engine.
